Normally, when a product does not appear in the search, it may be due to one of these reasons:
- It is not indexed in the feed. If the product is not indexed in the feed or has been added after the last indexing in Doofinder, it will not appear in the search. In this case, you have to check the feed to confirm if the products are included and re-index manually.
- Product availability is ‘Out of Stock’ and is excluded from the search. Verify that the product availability status and re-index manually. You can find more information on this topic in the article How to exclude ‘Out of Stock’ results from the Search Results.
- The search terms are running some ‘Custom Result’ that does not include these products. In the ‘playground’ section, you can verify if the search term is “triggering” that custom result. Once confirmed, you can check the configuration of that custom result in your Admin Panel > Custom Results. More information in the article ‘Custom Results’.
Once you have verified that the products are included in the data feed, that they are available and that no custom results are interfering with the search, re-index the data feed manually in your Doofinder control panel.
