Choose which IP ‘s should not be taken into account in your statistics

A few weeks ago we told you about the new statistics available in the Doofinder control panel, today we would like to inform you about a new improvement that will surely be very useful to get the most out of the data that these provide: choosing the IP’s for which you don’t want their activity to be reflected in your graphs. Want to know how to disable these IP’s? Follow the steps below.

It is undeniable that in all offices entrusted with the operation of an e- commerce, searches within their own premises are made to see that everything appears as desired, the results are shown correctly, that there has been no mistakes… but obviously, this data doesn’t provide useful information , since these are your own searches that will not end in a purchase, you won’t be interested in taking them into consideration in the statistics that show you how users interact with your site.

To tell your browser to not collect data from these IP’s you must follow these steps:

  • Enter Doofinder’s control panel and look for the search engine in which you want to make changes.
  • Enter the statistics tab.

  • At the bottom of the statistics window you will find an option called Filter IP for stats .

  • Clicking on Filter IP for stats a new tab will open where you can enter the number of IP ‘s you want the search engine to ignore for the statistics . To find out what is your IP use the WhatIsMyIp tool.

  • Each time you enter a new IP click save so that it’s registered.

This process won’t take more than 5 minutes and it will make your stats much more effective , showing you only what you want to see .
